Counted 8 tomatoes on two plants. Added two yellow pear tomato plants. Planted snap peas from seed for September harvest.
Heading outside now to finish up laying down the rest of the flagstones.</span>

since I am too lazy to start one new thread I am gonna teef a space in my triplet's thread

still is in keeping with the vegetable theme though

I just pulled thee green onions from my vegetable patch tonight to add to my supper They were almost a foot deep in the soil and were more than 2 feet above ground

And boy oh boy are they strongly scented

oh man, your vegetable plot is bigger than my vegetable plot

I had no idea that my green onions would come up again. Those suckers started peaking thru the ground when snow was still on the ground so they have had a few months to grow, otherwise mine woud be the same size as yours

Isnt it nice to see things come up and you just pluck them and eat

the salad I made on Sunday was all from my garden

really nice feeling

Isnt that a nice outreach project I was on the phone before i finished reading the article in the paper 3 min drive

I agree about thinning
going to thin them out as they grow, and eat with fried egg and cottage cheese every other day at noon starting next tuesday Full Moon

Man you should have seen me fight to pull those two onions out of the ground Just when I thought I dug deep enough I find out that the thing still kept going

I had to go for the pitch fork to pull them up but I still managed to snap them in two Almost fell backwards onto the concrete patio after one hard yank!

Never heard of wilted lettuce Is that just the name of a lettuce type or how it is prepared?

I could tell they were deep Nylah. leave a few to grow


Basicaly tear a bowl of leaf lettuce and 1 small onion cut in rings and a couple radishes sliced..set aside

Fry 6-8 slices good quality bacon till very crisp...crumble an set aside

now the dressing
heat the leftover bacon grease till very hot add about 2 tblespoons br sugar and stir. remove from heat and add about 1 tablespoon cider vinagar and immediately poor on to lettuce and mix up. Add bacon bits.

I have to start eating the lettuce a bit quicker in my backyard. Things are looking like alien sized heads now
