Laundry detergent

Used to be a die hard Tide user until .... *gasp*...the reccession...

anyways I been experimenting with different brands.


I use Dreft for the girls but for our stuff I use to buy the Walmart store brand detergent...now I see the price steadily rising like it name gas...so mi been bouncing around.

All is getting just as expensive as Tide.

So is Gain. I like the Gain fresh smell.

I have tried the cheap 2.99 Extra...Mi give it weh after the first wash.

What do you all use?

Oh I ask because I was watching an episode of 18 Kids and counting and it showed how they made their own washing soap and it cost them like $2 per 5 gallon bucket.

I still buy tide powder

i used to buy the all free

mi use the tide and wash likklegen white karate clothes and it was just dirt on there and it never get it out. mi tek it outa the machine and the dirt still there.


so right yah now mi might juss start buy the 99 cent one (if mi can find one) cause apparently the tide cant get out simple dirt

so why pay 6 dallah fah if it nah get out dirt?

Jamaican blue soap and sometimes along with the sun gets out all stains... neva fails!

ok mi going to the market and pick up some blue soap. I keep forgetting about it.


it work on colored clothes too ? blue soap ?

Yup! I also know a woman in her 60s with impeccable skin, pretty and young looking, she uses the same blue soap we use for clothes on her body and face. My skin is too sensitive for that, but works like magic. When she's not in Ja she carries a few bars with her to use, has for many years now.

T are you sure its the blue she uses on her skin and not the carbolic soap(pinkish/reddish) ?

Positive. I know her well and have been to her house.
Regular ol' Ja Blue soap, right there next to the shampoo in her shower.

I'm confused...is the blue soap you mean the same as the Blue you can get in solid form?

Nylah blue is different from the blue soap


the best one is the blue bomber ... miss having some sunshine to hang the clothes in especially things like curry and mango cause i know the clothes that dry in sun dont need bleach or oxyclean to get those kinda stains out...

Alright, quit laughing now.

I just took a picture of my ol' almost used up bar of blue soap.

Same ones wash ladies use in a tub of wata.
