I had an house invasion and robbery early morning

I had a very traumatic experience early this a.m., few minutes after 1AM. Woke up from my sleep and there was a man in my bed, leaning over me. I started screaming screaming screaming screaming. The room was so dark it was almost as if I was looking at a shadow as I screamed and watched him leaped out of the bed, ran down the stairs, then I heard the screen door noisily (it squeaks noisily) open and the heavy thud sound it makes when closed.

My husband was downstairs and he moves slow. By the time he got to the foot of the stairs I was already half way down and the person was gone. We called the police and they came took statements, etc. It was not until after 30 mins they were there we started realizing it was more than an home invasion... it was also a robbery. Laptop in the kitchen, the charger, wifi charger, car keys were the first things I noticed that were gone. The cops went upstairs, then called me to look around... the laptop that was on the side table next to bed was gone...charger and phone charger... my jewellery... silver jewellery... turqoise ring, wedding diamond band and matching diamond ring... earrings... a few $1 coins. Also late after I realized my wallet left on the stairs steps with IDs, credit cards, bank card, etc also gone.

Yesterday afternoon should've been a wake up call... more to that...

I kept thinking I know she didn't say &quot;in the bed&quot;. She must mean standing up leaning over the bed which really doesn't make it any less threatening but still. Girl!!!!! I just don't what I'd do If I woke up to a shadow leaning over me in the bed.

Now, I'll patiently wait for the rest of the story and your foreboding from yesterday evening.

He <span style="font-weight: bold">was</span> in the bed. Leaning/hovering right over me. I sleep on my back and my eyes opened to a person's face leaning directly into mine. The blood curdling scream I let you was what frightened him; and he leaped out of the bed and ran down the stairs.

I seriously thought I was looking at something that was not human due to the presence of the person, the position he was in over me and worse what the intention might have been. My screaming was the only reaction I managed for self protection.

I have never in my entire life felt so violated, naked, and totally afraid in my own house.

Yesterday afternoon, while in the garden, a guy not looking too righted came into the yard. Frightened me and I told him do not came into the yard and what does he want. He asked me a question, which I could not decipher... eventually realized he was asking &quot;do we deal dope&quot;. I was speechless and quickly told him &quot;no nothing like that around here..can't help you...please leave.&quot;

Same guy pestered around, then another guy joined him. They knocked on the front door twice. My husband was going to ballistics on them but I begged him, don't get into an altercation as they did not look right. We could tell they were drug heads and the one guy looked stoned.

I told husband we have to secure things better -- our motorcycles and the cars; he keeps very expensive chain saws in the garage and other tools. All day Sunday, I had a bad feel about that guy. We really think he was the one who came in with someone else. The police were here in the night, took statements, fingerprints, pictures.

WHAT!!! You actually have me speaking out loud at the screen. If he thought you were a drug dealer, he'd just walk up on your property and blatantly ask?

They were there casing out your place and barely even bothered to hide it. I have never heard of nothing so boldface as that with the robbers not just coming on in right that moment. SandiF, y'all are truly fortunate/blessed.

I imagine you may be feeling jumpy right now, but I sincerely doubt you'll ever see them again. It is time to secure things though for sure.

OMG Sandi I am so glad that you woke up and scared him away.. I hope he left enough fingerprints and is in the system for an easy catch

You and hubby must have been so frightened. Unfortunately you now have to make tons of phone calls and protect the data that is now in their hands

I hope dem catch dem baxside and dem put up a fight and get a shot in dem arse

as MGee seh I don't know if I would scream either, I have had soooo many dreams of trauma where I tried to scream and nothing came out
