Thanks ... the ledge is intended to be the starting point for the picture gallery with family pics in different sizes and complementary frames (I am looking for a bigger frame to combine some 5x7) etc... I didnt do multiple ledges because I want to keep it simple and figured I would have more options to play with the design if i use different size frames including hanging some if I want to change the look as I still have that big enough space above the ledge.

i understand wat you are saying but i'm suggesting that those no hole hangers are not reliable and you might be better off making the holes since that are very easy to fill. i have some experience there..there is not a wall in my house without a picture on it

BTW unless it something super super heavy you don't really need to find a stud they have regular picture hooks that can hang up to 70lbs </div></div>

I am here to agree with RichD having a few pictures fall off my newly painted walls
