lets talk about giving birth

who would never do home birth? why?

wat about this water birth thing? nebody ever do it?

natural birth....who brave enough to refuse drugs

and the big C...what are your thoughs on non medically necessary c sections?

how many people do u want in the room....seem like dese days the whole neighborhood is invited. yikes.

Long, long time ago now, 31 years, but I chose natural birth, no drugs at all, labor was 12 long hours and my Mother and husband were with me in the delivery room.
The hardest and most rewarding experience in my entire life.
Never had a chance to do it again, such is life.

Natural birth. I did it twelve years ago with my son and I will do it again.

I was in labor for ten LONG HOURS....OMG DI PAIN!!!!!

I'm past having babies, but I would have done it naturally again if I was healthy and there seemed to be no complications, yes I would. I found an inner strength in me that I didn't know existed, and that was wonderful. It was also the first time I cussed a room full of strangers, lol, that was when my son was crowning and they told me that it was a full moon, more babies were being delivered that night then ever anticipated and that I needed to hold on to him, until they found a doctor to do the delivery. Oh hell no, and then came all the bad words.

Hospital all the way for me ... mi sure if mi to the home birth thing mi going bleed to death or something like that.

C-section should only be done when medically necessary

I'd probably go natural if I were to go again since a combination of meds knocked my baxide out with Adale the labour was 5 hours.

twiny more and more women are choosing voluntary c sections. some say it preserve dem ehem....dont think i would want to go c section unless our lives depended on it.

IMHO only an stupid person would go for a home birth when the most modern options are available .... having in the past watched mothers die from breach birth due to lack of medical attention. I find this to be an ego driven conceit, an affectation on the weathly to demonstrate that they are &quot;superior&quot;...As for drugs there is no nobility in pain, nor is there virtue in self denial....

i wouldnt call them stupid.

you can have a qualified mid wife and still get the drugs etc at home....i know quite a few women who did it that way. so not i woudnt use the word stupid....i have toyed with the idea of a home water birth myself

my gf had her first child at home with a mid-wife and I was pleasantly surprised that it didnt turn out to be the grossest experience of my life

(I was with her for the 2 days she was in labor)

because of her, childbirth didnt seem like this overwhelming scream down the place experience. There was nothing self-indulgent about her choice like Wahalla suggests. The mid-wives made it clear if anything looked suspect, she would be on her way to the hospital in a heartbeat.

her second child she did have in the hospital because there was complications and they refused to take any chances. Everything worked out well in the end for both mom and child.
