Santa was a big thing in my house with the granperes, I believed up until iwas bout 10 or so. No, I was not devastated when I learned he was not real.... but I do remember devastating my likkle bro bout Santa when I told him his Dad was Santa, lawd I got some licks for that

Ten year difference between us and I remember the likkle guy was 4 or so when I told him, lawd him start screaming and crying....me shatter is likkle world

I was having a conversation with Mr Man and he asked me if I would allow any potential kids we have believe in Santa. After I thought about it, even though I love Christmas I dont think I would. Too much effort to cover up the lie. Plus when I hear how some of my friends were devastated when som older kid busted their bubble on the subject, I figured I dont want to deal with that.

We celebrated Christmas when I was a kid, but at no time was Santa allowed to tek up residence eena fi wi house. Fram wi learn fi say 'kem' wi madda mek sure tell wi say a she an Daddy wok hawd fi buy de sitn dem, not no big ol white man eena red suit.'

I can remember asking her when I was maybe 4-5 () if Santa ongle come a farrin (I think we were watching 'A Christmas story'). She say yeah.

he told me he would follow my lead on the issue but he has also made it clear that he will not partake in any of the Santa business. I'll be on my own if I let them believe in Santa et al.

I do agree with him cause like I said, all the make up lie to cover the last lie is just a bit much for me.

but then u have nuff ppl like Ceabee says in school etc. that tell them stuff and then u have to look into their eyes and burst their bubble...i just dont know if my nerves can take that when the time comes...I might chicken out and sound like Skelly...eeh-hee, yeah, etc

From I killed santa clause and when easter bunny came up i was very practical in asking which animals lay eggs and then he told me that tooth fairies arent real and all these things are just pretend. I've told him though that even though we dont believe these things some people do and some people celebrate the holidays and we are different as i wish for him to respect others opinions...
