do u send a 2-year old off with the doc or do you stay for the exam and any tests they run? mi wonder how di parents never in the room and if him build trust over time then assure dem it ok and took advantage a di pickney dem

it so sad - dem have video of how him attack di pickney so unless him have a twin, him need fi go in front a firing squad

mi stay inna de room wid my 13 year old mi just turn de odda way when dem a examine de private areas but yes

but even de in the gyn office a woman is in the room (usually de nurse) when dem in deh so how could the child be alone?

Ther a rea few really wacy tobacy guys practicing a s physicians, out tere. One have to protect their kids. My kids never use real pediatricians, other than i would discuss withem every so often.
i have triends, who are, but my kids didn't trust them.
In other words spoilt.
And up til now both of them have no qualms about stripping doown to their birth suit infront of me.
sometimes i think I mess up somewhere.
since anything they don't understand, They have to show me and not sastisfied until i give them my opoinion.

oh hale no. even if nurse did in deh mi wouldnt leff my pickney wid dat deh sasquatch/unibomba looking smaddy him nuh know nothing bout hygiene ? him inna him scrubs so is not like him deh pan vacation

is long time now dem been using assistants in the room with the Drs but perhaps those parents didn't know them could DEMAND a nurse be present, and even then parents can be in the examination room if they want.

Unbearable story to read

I was always with my children during all doctors visits, labs, emergency room etc. Only time I was not with them was when one child was in an operating room at a hospital. Even when my youngest fell off his bike and had 30 stitches in the ER, I was there with him through every single stitch. Further more, all the pediatric medical ppl around us always insisted that parents be with their children as much as possible.

I cant imagine leaving the room when they are that little. And any good doctor would insist you stay to help keep the little person calm, so this guy had an agenda

when I turned 13 yrs old, I insisted to my parents that I was grown up enough to see the doctor by myself I made my way to an appointment on the bus to visit my doctor after school sinc eit was just up the road.

Turned out that my regular doctor was away and had someone else in her place.
This guy told me I had lukemia because I was complaining of tiredness and a couple other symptoms. He never checked any lab tests or anything. Just made this pronouncement to a 13 yr old kid.

Now, I had watched the week before a Bill Cosby special where the little black kid died of lukemia so guess what was in my mind when I heard this.... I WAS GONNA DIE

He sent me home and that was that. Needless to say, I was hysterical...literally hysterical...by time I got home. I bawled onthe bus..bawled on the walk home....and was crying so hard by time I got in the house that I couldnt speak. All I could get out was &quot;I'm dying Mummy&quot;.

Both my parents were in that doctor's office in a shot and took a strip out of this guy for telling a kid something like that without any forethought. Then waited for my regular dr to return and cussed her out too for having someone who would be so insensitive and thoughtless towards a child.

I was just anemic and I wasnt dying

First I didn't even know that was allowed

Everytime I take my little one to the Doc the Doc invites me in as the norm. I wouldn't stay out of the room anyway ..but the fact is, at no time a Doctor has ever not invited me in the room. So I am a little confused how this could happen

how on earth could a mother leave a 2 y/o alone with an adult male? even for immunitizations i'd be in the room. i can't believe none of the other kids told. or they probably did and weren't believed.

A Delaware pediatrician is facing numerous charges in the alleged sexual abuse of his patients, authorities said Wednesday, and there may be &quot;multiple victims.&quot;

Dr. Earl Bradley, 56, who has had a practice in Lewes, Delaware, for more than 10 years, is charged with eight counts of first-degree rape; four counts of second-degree rape; 14 counts of sexual exploitation of a child; and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden told CNN.

A prosecutor in Biden's office estimated that Bradley may have had as many as 100 victims. Biden stopped short of that, saying only authorities think there may have been multiple victims, and the investigation is ongoing.

As of Wednesday, seven victims had been identified, said Jason Miller, spokesman for the Delaware Department of Justice. CNN affiliate WBOC-TV reported Bradley is being held in lieu of $2.9 million bond.

He was scheduled for a preliminary hearing Wednesday in the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas, but his attorney requested that it be continued until January 14, Biden said. The charges against Bradley, and any additional charges that are filed, will be presented to a grand jury &quot;at some point,&quot; Biden told CNN.

He would not give specifics of how Bradley came to authorities' attention &quot;over the course of recent months.&quot; Police believe the abuse goes back &quot;for several years,&quot; with victims as young as 2, he said.

Additional charges were filed earlier this week after &quot;preliminary forensic investigation of a computer&quot; seized by Delaware State Police, authorities said in a release.

Police said they have seized photographic and video evidence showing Bradley abusing victims, WBOC said. Court documents provide graphic details about the evidence, the station said.

Bradley also has medical licenses in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Florida. Biden said authorities in those states have been contacted.

Biden urged parents or others who have concerns regarding Bradley to contact his office, where a hot line is staffed with people who can provide information including counseling referrals.
