Something funny happened a couple days ago


Abi had woken up from a nap and I brought her into the kitchen...gave her a sippy cup of juice and told her to say thank you. She get vex an gi mi back di cup an start bawl So Sarah says &quot;let me try Mommy. Here Abi&quot; Abi takes it. She says to Abi &quot; Say thank you Abi!&quot; Abi get vex an give her back the cup and run out a di kitchen bawling.

Now tell me why she find it so hard to say thank you? She says it well so is not that she can't but she flat out refuse to. Mi tink di pickney jus bad

Not in a good place right now....

The evaluator came
performed hearing tests and Abi did fine
Her speech was actually ok
She is a great imitator
Plays well
Motor skills were great
What they were most concerned with was her lack of pointing to objects she wants and her lack of responding to her name when being called....also she was not able to follow their instructions such as &quot;give the ball to mommy&quot;

It's more than I feel to type right now and all I can say is that they want to test her for autism...

Her Dad is furious and claim that they only want to label her. I just want to make sure that she is ok and if there is anything she may need help with that she gets it...


I believe my child is fine...and she has her own individual personality...I do not understand how doctors will stress that each child is unique but when your child does not fall under what they consider to be normal then they end up making you feel inadequate as a parent.

i think as a mom you know best and if you heart sey abi ok, i think she is ok. mi nuh have nuh pickney but mi see mi fren stress out harself during pregnancy caw one doc go seh pickney arm and leg length ratio imply down syndrome. nat a ting nuh go so.

maybe abi never like di ooman and she seh to harself &quot;don't tell mi wat to do itch! you not my modda &quot;. maybe she neva inna di mood. maybe she juss stubborn like mi niece and love defy authority figures.

mi know u a go still worry but anyway u tek it abi will be alright and taken care of.
