Hope this helps. When my siblings and I were growing up, we were raised and christened in the baptist church. My mom and maternal grandmother were devote baptist. My paternal grandmother was jehovah's witness. She was very devoted to her religion and would preach to us everytime we visited. She also would come by our home to babysit us and would continue teaching us about her beliefs. Granny would also give us all the related books and pamphlets. One thing about granny she would let us know that her religion was the best. My mom and maternal grandmother never told her not to do such. They just let her be. Now that we are adults, we recognized it was a good decision Today all my siblings are baptist. We chose the religion of the grandmother who lived with us and helped to shape who we are as adults. Another twist is that most of my cousins who lived or spent most of their childhood with granny are jehovah's witness.
