Even though I ques my parenting

There are days when I feel like there is hope. I am not taking credit for Adale's reading because I believe it is a direct result of his French Language Arts and English Language Arts instruction at school but it sure feels good to be complemented on how well he reads. Compared to the other boys who were in the class (they are a grade above him) he read using his punctuation marks, pausing, stopping emphasizing etc as necessary.

I really needed a boost in my confidence as recently I really have been having a tough time as I assess my parenting.

Even the beat mothers question their own parenting abilities and we blame ourselves all the time. It comes with the territory just ask any Jewish mother!

Just by assessing your posts I think you're an awesome mom!

One thing you gotta remember with boys, they will pull the things you think they haven't learnt, out of the hat when you least expect it.

You can't kill them, so you just gotta luv em...

Ahn trust that is not you one that second guess themselves. Oh aye!

There'll be times when you'll just be looking at this... <span style="font-style: italic">person</span> and wondering, 'who the bleep <span style="font-style: italic">are you</span>???? Their actions, speech, thinking, will just seem so alien... But then they'll flash you a smile and you will just hang on to that like a drowning mom... cause in the smile you glimpse an image of the child you remember... *sigh*

Let's just say, watching your son grow up is... interesting. It's kinda like a science experiment to rha... You never know what the next day will bring... the things he'll say... oi... and then the smell... I'm sorry, but the smell of teenage boys... is frikkin awful... He washes regularly... and he won't wear the same thing two days in a row.. so basically he's clean... so why on God's Green Earth, does he smell like that????

I mentioned it to my friend and she told me that I've forgotten how much I loved that scent when *I* was a teenager... wha...???? I'on remember that ish...

I've asked him if he's tryna drive me to drink... all I'll get in return is a 'Oh Mom' and a kiss on the cheek... oh yeah, that hasn't change... de dyam bwoy love fi kiss esi... \o/

My advice to you is: Make sure you have ready access to headache meds;

Take up yoga, or become a Buddhist or anything else that will allow you to reach a zen like state, cause often you'll need a greater power to help you through five minutes of interaction with teen-alien;

Get a mantra that you can repeat - something that will break through the red haze that is ready to drop like a curtain before your eyes as soon as he decide to impart some witticism or point out to you how wrong you are <span style="font-style: italic">again</span>. My mantra is 'I will not kill him today. Please God, I don't want to kill him today. Lord, don't mek mi kill im tiday!';

Have the car keys handy and ensure that you're dressed well enough for a quick exit. Sometimes, you just gotta dash outta the house to save your sanity - but you still want to look cute;

Get two fridges - one for the family and the other for him. Be prepared to restock his fridge every other day.



You know, sometimes I look at this kid and I think to my self, &quot;I <span style="font-style: italic">still</span> would die for him.&quot; And then I wonder if he got his insanity from me...

Yes what is up with the smell my gawsh! The clothes are clean; he bathes with Dr Bronners but it is there.. I now know why the air freshener business is so good!

That smell is no joke wash them clothes with white vinegar it helps trust mi pan that.
