from what i see a low flow shower head is about 2.5 gallons per minute. you have a couple peopel takign long showeres and it adds up

as for the long showers.. tankless water heater.. if people tek too long we turn off the hot water heater and the cold water should drive dem out

i jus look at my old bill ..consumption range from a low of average 360 litres per day(winter time) to a high of average 720 litres per day (summer time )

and that is 3 people with usually nobody in the house monday to friday from 7 am to 7 pm

So Richie that is 95 to 190 gallon per day for 3 people. If you look at the image I posted I was way higher in the winter at 80 odd per day.

CB, I get mine off my bill. I do paperless billing so I just logged on and looked at the back of my bill. I am billed in 2 month cycles. They show you the average on the bill. Look at the bottom right of the image (average consumption/day: 62.33 gals.

Maybe you can look at your own online too.

Btw, di bwoy did not like the shower today. Had to do the tub. Mi going to try warm him up to the idea. may haffi shower with him a few nights fi him get use to it.

Family of 5 and one water drinking dog was 7000 gals for Apr 15 to May 15 granted mrKia was doing a lot of planting..

Checked my city's website, I am just getting out of gardening season where I watered almost daily. During these months I use between 4 and 5 TGAL per month. I am guessing that TGAL= thousand gallons. If my assumption is correct, that is about 150 gallons per day for a two person household. And I must confess, I waste a lot of water. When I cook and wash dishes I leave the water running unnecessarily I drop facial tissue in the toilet and flush, I turn the shower on for a few minutes before I get in. I am a water using disaster. And we wash our cars here about every other week.

FT, I think you are doing OK. Maybe your rate per gallon is expensive. 5TGALs cost me $30.70, 4 cost me $27.34.

Lawd the conversion to communicate with the Americans family of 4 plus a cat we used 6700 gallons this last bill which is 2100 gallons more than the corresponding period last year. I think I know where the $30 difference in my bill coming from now. On a good note longer days and spring finally showing up means natural gas and electricity have gone down
