Jerk sauce

Can anyone tell me the recipe for jerk sauce for chicken,I tried googling it but every one seems to be completely different,and I dont like the sauce that grace sells in the jar here,..its too flipping hot.

I had a barbecue over the weekend and had to ask a yardie friend of mine to marinade the chicken,.....cut a long stoy short, I wasnt satisfied with the result,...I need to know the recipe,would appreciate some help.

boy I tell ya - you're going to get a whole bunch of different responses. there isn't one single recipe, everyone does it their own way.

Newt, i find the jerk seasoning dry powder to be more effective than the runny inna bakkle paste dem. sometimes those are just too tangy to be the real jerk flavou to me.

Is it similar to the stuff in the jar by grace,..I tried the grace stuff once and wasnt impressed,...I think I`m looking for that authentic taste that I experienced on hols in jamaica.

this is the stuff i use - with rave results. yu fi even si mi jerk turkey. you'll literally sell your soul to a christian for it.

o yeh. i don't know if you can get mr. goudas your way, but i'm comanding you to use the powdered seasoning. it doesn't have any of that vinegar-ry tasting stuff that they use to stabilize the wetty wetty one.

what is your location?
I've never tried the dry stuff, we're bbqing this weekend maybe I'll do some wet and some dry to see how it works out.

any tips on using the dry vs wet?

I too dislike the vinegar taste that some put in their jerk.

yes, mi buy Grace wah deh an mi seh....mi mowt deh pan fiyah. It did too hot man an it nat even taste good. Mi ongle use Walkerwood.

A dat mi seh to,..de sitt`n hot it hot so till,.....so a how yu special sauce go,...prips mi no.
