Jazzy mi feel yu pain.. Mi cyan cook rice.. She who must be feared rice too dry....
There was one rice I could cook.. It was an itlian brown rice from the Po Valley....
So I stopped cooking rice... Move wey fram rice.. Now mi myam bulgar.. Try Bulgar an peas... No kokenat doah...Comment

sometime it depend pan the pot. mi use this sometimes if mi notice seh the flame a run too hot (even after mi tun it pan lowest setting)
Heat diffuser, dem have dem wid metal handles too

<span style="color: #3333FF">I can't make rice unless I measure, 2:1. I prefer Uncle Ben's to Carolina, Carolina seems too clumpy. It's MrBlue that taught me how to make rice and peas and now it comes out just right every time.
Some of you mentioned turning it down after it boils, do you add the rice before the water boils? I've never covered it with foil or anything, but I learned not to open the lid until it's done, and let it sit even after I've turned off the heat. I have an electric stove, so the heat is still there when I turn it off.

Mrs Blue, the rice is in the pot with water from the very beginning.
after the water(with the rice already in)starts to boil, to the point where there is just about an inch of water on top, you lower the burner and cover the pot, so that the rice may now steam slowly.
OVEN-anybody ever cook the rice inna the oven lawd it taste good esee, especially rice and peas wid tyme
