Jazz wah kine a stove yu have? Wah kine a pt yu use? Do you put any margarine in di pot? If so how much? What settings yu doing it at? Remember extreme high fi boil and extreme low fi steam.

Well that can work to but you have to run out more steam and faster which might end up burning the rice.
My method makes it really dry and shelly so you can put a little more water in than I recommend.... what a day when you have to depend on your Brothers to help yu cook.... we are our sisters’ keeper!

Well ihave a regular gas stove... and sometimes I use the rice cooker - but truthfully I prefer to use the stove top.

I do put some margarine in there like maybe 2 tablespoons or so... I do start it off high til it gets to boiling and some of the water steam out - then I reduce to low for steaming...

TG - sad to say wen mi lef mi madda house (at 16) mi coulden even bwile wan hard bwile egg
anything mi can mek now is what I learnt on my own or pick up here and there, read recipe book etc.
My brothers had been living on their own for a while (lef home to go to College) so dem did acquire one an two skills here and there.
Bwteen mi modda an de helper used to run mi outta de kitchen - seh mi ah hole up dem time wen mi try learn likkle supm...

anyway ah so it go - mi can mek nuff tings good now - but mi still cyaan ketch de rice prapa \o/

Works even better on gas stoves, just make the flame almost disappear and the steam will take over!

Mi cyaan cook pan electric stove - that is a sure recipe for disaster \o/

You know I wonder how ole time people used to cook on wood fire anbd kerosene stove??? how u gauge the heat on them???

Brown skin gyal stay home an mine babeee!
Of course my granny never let the boys cook but we had to learn the basics so that ooman noh put tings inna wi food! My Granny would give us lessons in how to wash, cook and clean!
