Tons of work.
But I do it because it is my wife's favorite.
I got up real early on her birthday and baked her one before she woke up.
I had gotten all the preparations done ( the crust rolled out and formed, the stuff all mixed) the night before down in the cellar workshop where she thought I was just tinkering.

The look on her face when she came down was all worth it.
