The sauce they serve it with is good but I guess curry goat spwile mi - casue I thought themeat of the goat itself was tasteless.

I thought Samosas was a spanish dish??? no??

There is really nothing called Spanish food... It is too regional.... Gallego, Catalan, Basque, Anadalucian, Castilian...

Once I was out with my motehr who lives in Galicia...we saw a guy picking up smails... she told me he was Catalan... We had a conversation.. It came out the Gallego's dont eat snails but the Catalans think of it as a delicasy.... The common currency is that Spain Paela is actually a southern dish made traditionally without Mariscos thats seafood as it is now defined (traditional Paela is with Snails and Rabbit as it happens)... .. It is actually originally Arabic dish yet that is seen as the quintessenstial spanish dish... Bacallo, Saltfish again is Northern Spain tradition original Basque as is Peri-Peri... Olive oil is seen as a Spanish oil however it is again a south product... Pulpo de Galicia that Galician from the North...

My favorite Spanish dish is Tortilla. .. if you order that in the US you get something different.. In Spain a tortilla is a potato ommalete in the US/ Mexico it is a wrap...(My dauther tells me that she loves me because I mmake the Best Spanish Ommolette in the world....The Gallego make it with potatoes only, the southernes use other vegtables.... One of my favorite resturants in the world is in Betanzos, Galicia and the cook is Cuban!

The same thing with so called Italian food. it also is highly regional... Carbonara is Romaic, there is no such dish as Bologonesie..Rostochini is a dish from Abruzzo you wont get that in the North....

Just now I had a meal at at a Itlioan resturant.. It actually was a Sardinian Resturant....

2lbs fish of your choice (I use snapper)
garlic cloved, minced (to suit your taste)
1/4 cup chopped celery
1 tbsp. chopped parsley
Thyme (to suit your taste)
salt and pepper to taste
2tbsp. lemon juice
1 cup beer or to suit your taste
2 bay leaves

*also me fling in some other type jamaican season........
likkle allspice,likkle teeny bit jerk season (dry one)

Clean fish, (let soak likkle bit in some vinegar and lemon juce
Season with garlic, celery,parsley, thyme salt, hot pepper sauce and lemon juice. Let stand for 15 mins.

Add beer and bay leaves. Cover with foil and bake at 350degreeF for bout 30mins.

*also please remember to remove the fish head nutin wus dan sumaddy invite you to dinner an the head is looking at yu.

I forgot to add Mexican food....by some &quot;American food&quot;, I mean things like backyard picnic food...bbq chicken on the grill, good, good potato salad, nice, fresh green salad and every once in a while, love a good cheeseburger (on a charcoal grill) with fresh tomato and mayo on a toasted bun.

Also love things like oven roasted veg.with fresh garlic, oven roasted chicken with potatoes, olive oil &amp; rosemary....really don't know the ethnicity of that one!

My recipe for a good potato salad that everyone here seems to love is:

Apx. 3 lbs. potatoes (boiled, but not too too done, quartered &amp; sliced
3 or 4 hard boiled eggs, chopped
1/2 sweet pepper, diced
1/2 onion, diced
1 scallion, sliced (green part too)
1 or 2 stalks celery, diced (I omit this a yard because it's hard to find, but better with it)
lots of black pepper
salt to taste
either fresh or dried dill (a good amount)
A good squeeze of yellow mustard
Mayonnaise, enough to mkae it all hold together.

I guess I was thinking more of what I see teh Dominicans, Puerto ricans etc. eat - I haven;t had much exposure to real cuisine from Spain... (lawks mi really hafef go expand mi culinary horizons yuh nuh)
