Pour boiling water over tea bag.

Brew 3 to 4 minutes, based on desired strength. Sweeten to taste with honey or sugar.

I have some in my pantry. They sell it in the walmart down here, and all over really. If they sell west indian products in your local walmart, you might get it there.

In the very old days when I was growing up in the country my grandmother used to make banana tea. The green banana would be cut up in 1-inch pieces and boiled until the banana is cooked. The banana pieces would be thrown out and the tea would be mixed with condensed milk, add cinnamon or netmeg. We used to cut a hand of the bananas right off the tree. The color would be black (before adding the condensed milk) due to the iron content in bananas. Drink this tea for brekfus or supper with bammie and fish or ackee and salt fish.

Thanks for this (((St.Bess))) some people were trying to make it seem like I had no idea what I was talking about, but now I have living proof!!! Thanks for the confirmation and yes, that's how I was told it is made. I was about to post the recipe, but you saved me that step. Aaaah, dispute settled.
