The whole time i was in Ochi looking for chocolate donuts, brownies, cookies, or something to satisfy my sweet tooth and i couldnt find nothing like that.

there were other snacks but i wasnt interested in those

chawclit tea was a staple on sunday mornings when i was likkle. di real chawclit weh dem mek by hand and yu haffi grayta. anybaddy visit jamaica haffi cyarry it fi mi anty. lawd it did nice.

lawd missis when mi get piece mi hawdly want fi use it. mi juss kip eena di glass front what not and look pan it every now and agen.

di dutty babylonian chawclit cannot hold even di flicker of a candle to dat yawd chawclit. and in di olden days dem use to dry it out pan zinc. wi use to suck awff di sweet pulp round di beans dem. den dem roast it and pound it wid mortal (that stick thingy) and pestle mek outta tree stump. dem dem would round it up fi mek di chawclit bally bally ting dem.

there used to be a chocolate bar factory in highgate, st. mary, cyaan memba the brand name. also, chocolate milk used to popular.
