Dem price list ungle include frozen meats. It look like dem mostly sell imported cheaper priced meats. Di fish dem sell nuh swim round di waters off Jamaica.

Plus me nevah like how dem look inside. Dem did too dark and dreary. Me can ungle buy dry goods in dem kinda place. </div></div>

i never eat beef in jamaica - 'cause i've never seen most jamaicans eat it

and if i have an egg for breakfast - i make them fry it hard hard

Probably, but me nuh tink it will be in the heart of downtown...unless off the area near di market. Dat butcher is probably somewhere off the beaten path or in a more residential area.

I have never seen one (selling fresh meats) in or around the downtown are.

Content beef and cold storage. It was owned by thebauxite. The Jamaican government kept it open after the bauxite closed it recently.

Medium, cooked over hickory & charcol or propane (charcol betta).Possibly marinated in a hotter jerk sauce first for a couple hours or overnight.
Sauteed mushrooms/green beans/garlic in real butta, put on top of the steak.

2. YES ! Hopefully they don't turn up nose and chop it up for stew

the meat was a little too fresh for me

If they cut it up for stew, it is only to cook it down some more. If the flesh is pink (medium) it won't be eaten by many Jamaicans in Jamaica. </div></div> an many in farrin to if mine is pink I need tabasco on it so I think the pink is not what it really is

mi have a fren who likes hers almost raw an mi almost positive if shi deh by herself she would eat it raw

The top road that runs along the cliffs towards Hi Lo market plaza (towards Ricks, the wholesale T Shirt shop,etc) or a road that runs up away from the roundabout, closer to Burger king ?
Have you seen this place recently and if so why do you say the "meat is a little too fresh"? Do you mean they are doing on site butchering or the meat isn't fresh. I want to get steak but don't want to buy something "not fresh".

i'm going to check the negril map for the exact location but from memory:

the top road is right behind the plaza at the roundabout - it may be the road leading out of red ground

the butcher shop is there - near the drop off laundry lady - it is not on the west end

the reason i said the meat was "too fresh" is i went there to get some goat meat and the goat was lying dead in the back of the truck waiting to be butchered - i'm used to getting my meat in little packets where it's almost unrecognizable as an animal - LOL

i don't live in negril but go for extended holidays about twice a year

i think that since jamaica is so friendly with canada and the UK - they have a concern about mad cow disease

even when i lived in the UK any steak was cooked so done - it was almost ashes

have the best time
