I Like a lot of coconut in mine - I just use less water... whatever you are comfortable with.

BTW - if you are using dried gungo peas then you put them on in cold water if you are using green gungo peas then you put them on in boiling water

Tanyer walk awf! I make a mad tasty rice and peas - is my water proportions for white rice was bothering mi but mi jus go back to weh mi bredda did tell mi and all is well in rice world *CMY*

ok.....here is my quick rice and peas recipe

cook some rice
when it half way cook
add....can of peas
thyme
green onions
likkle scotch bonnie peppa sauce
likkle all spice balls
add some canned coconut milk (bout grater coconut)
fling in some season salt
likkle butter
stir with fork
lower heat
let cook until rice soft

yeah I love more coconut milk in mine matter if fact mi could bathe in cokenat milk which is why mi love Thai food

First thing is I'm throwing out my Blackberry.
Second thing is they came out so gooood!
Third thing is I'm trying to decide if coconut is an aphrodisiac.

The pic I took is so blurry that I'm not sure you can tell what's on it. But is rice and peas and oxtails.

I have to tell my little brother this....his cancer is in remission.....let him start eat this religiously......willing to try anthing so it stays away forever
