I cant even imagine someone telling a colleague that they dont like the other person Seems like that would create major tension, or some kind of stalker vibe to try to get the other to see they really are 'nice' and part of 'the team'.

I have told colleagues.. "You are good at your job...I dont want to discuss personal s***.. i dont want to socialise with you... but that does not stop us working together...."

I think men might be able to handle that, women get their feelings hurt by such directness- especially when they think they're doing nothing but just trying to bond/be nice/get to know each other/share/teambuild. Its a slap in the face for someone who is gayy, I mean happily sharing the joys of their life, just to brighten your day like theirs has been brightened (in their mind)- to get that bit of rejection! Serious buzzkill. But maybe the hurt feelings wont last, or maybe- they will to the point where there has to be venting to others, and then they might have to take sides and oooh it could get tense!
