but why the emphasis on physical traits...as you say, anyone can 'project' ugliness...after all, isn't everyone's definition of beauty/ugly approachable/unapproachable different?

well wen u look at someone the first thing u see is &quot;physical&quot; traits. u dont see there personality and qualities until u get to know them.

so its just human nature to be attracted to or turned off by certain physical traits.

i know that i dont look at an ugly guy and go &quot;dam i wanna go over and say hi&quot; or if is see someone frowning the last thing of my mind is to smile and say hi...mi just dont wanna go there

ETA: i am not saying Serenity is ugly that is not wat i am implying. all i am saying is maybe she does need to be more approachable.

i have ppl tell mi sometimes (guys) that wen the first saw me they thought i was a snob and that i look high maintenance...wen they get to know me they realize i am a real down to earth person.

i don't think neutral is being shallow either, just realistic. i'm a big fan of reading the want ads, 98% of the people describe themselves as borderline nothing less than fantastic and beautiful, etc.

then i look at their pictures....

As a physically repulsive person,(Limp, 3 scars across the face reconstructed jaw line, busted nose, califlour ears).... I can testify to the fact that ooman check out men by the identical parameters that Newtral postulates..... (I make up for my physical repulsiveness by having the soul of a poet and the a spify turn of phrase) So why should men not apply the same parameters....?????
