i always hear the western cultures label it that way (especially toward the bride)...
so is it?
to me that seems too general a thing to state...i guess it depends on the individuals and their situation...

The wedding is not the important part, it's the marriage that matters. People get so wrapped up in that 1 day, and spend too much $, and lose focus that the relationship and the lifetime commitment should be the priority.
