1) his wife is an annoying [censored] (so he has to heng out wid di guys?)

2) He is actually having an affair (with a woman) and his "boys" will always cover for him (well dats one reason)

4) He needs to get away (escape) from the demands and pressure of home (again, oh please)

5) yu really want more? (dat mek sense)

A number of the so called triggers this eeediat has listed are the same or similar to the triggers of when a man is cheating. No inventing the wheel, no great big discovery...now some stupid woman is going to get it in her head that her man is on the DL because he shaved his privates...when in reality he shaved them because he got crabs from the skank Mary he was cheating on her with....aye sah </div></div>

the reality of it is alot of the down low ting going on and the "excuse" dat are/were made before can be for that reason...men has been on the down low for a long time now...is just dat some coming out wid it more. </div></div>

I am not disputing the fact that men are DL I am just saying the the so called triggers are misleading. If a DL man does not want anyone to know that he is having sex with men behind his wifes back SHE IS NOT GOING TO KNOW.

So women are going to look at the list/read the book an seh my man is a hairy big belly cave man who noh talk to man or have man fren and his life is an open book....yet a him same one have glory hole ad pan craigslist.

and yes hind sight is 20/20 but....

If him all of a sudden stawt wid dem tings then yes of course I would suspect. BUT if di man gay (DL) then I would assume that these things are normal (meaning he was doing then prior to our wedding)

I know men who shave or wax off body hair...does that make them DL? given a choice I prefer a man who shaves his privates.....

Whatever the reason, if homie is not acting right = raise red flags, me no care what excuse he want to use. By that point, it is up to <span style="font-weight: bold">me</span> to decide which category he belong in, and if me chose to put him in the DL category just because of his suspicious behavior, oh well.

I'm not saying one is worse than the other...just that a list of signs/triggers is not as helpful as the author of the book is making it out to be.

Good point.

However, I don't think the writer was referring to man that do those things from jump. I think it is more geared towards man who changing them behavior after they've been acting a certain way.

There are exceptions to every rule and people have them own preferences, so me can relate to what you saying. Me still think though that the exception should not be the rule, and when that is the case, thermos must broke and coffee dash out.

the sad reality is DotCom, while that may be the case for you it is not the case for soooooo many of our sisters.

but let's not forget where all this DL behavior is coming from, and hold the mirror to our very own faces.

Is true.

In order to avoid addressing the problem though, too many people excuse the slackness for PC and all sorts and feel that "acceptance" is the only way to go. But when it comes to the real test, it was only because most of us were too lazy to be bothered with questioning why the doggone boat was sinking in the first place.

You making a lot a sense up there you know. The situation is suffocating to say the least. Too many women give up on themselves and as mentioned in another thread opt to die a slow, painful and sad death.

In my daily prayers, me ask God keep me stable and strong. If i should loose everything, I hope and pray that I would never get like these people who seem sane but have lost their minds.
