I hae been reading this board for months and decided to come out of lurking. . My welcome post is in that newbie area. Anyhoo, me in a little dilemma and need opinions.

Thursday I asked a friend of mine what he is doing for the weekend, I went on to say that I wouldn't mind spending part of the weekend with him. He responded back saying he has no concrete plans and my company is certainly welcome. He then said he will call me. Well, I have not heard from him. Friday evening I called and left him voice mail to say that I found my cellphone and I'll be in and out Friday evening, so call me on my cell. I got no call from him Friday. Ok, no problem I thought. Saturday all day he did not call. We do not live far apart and on one of my errands I was right in his neighbourhood, so I thought, I'd swing by his house. His car wasn't there. On my way out, I saw his car heading to his house. So I thought, well, I'll just go home and call him. Got home within 10 min and tried his number and it went straight to voicemail. I left a message. It is Saturday night and I still have not heard from him. I just don't know. I don't understand. We have been talking all week, no problem.

I'm wondering if I should've just went by his house and knocked on his door and take it from there and not sit and wait for him to call. BUT he said he would call me, and he also said my company would be welcome for the weekend. I just know that I am upset and looking for opinions. In the past if I call and he missed my call, he would acknowledge it. He obviously got my voice messages but he did not return my calls.

Sorry to have to tell you this but it looks like he's just not that in to you. And it seems he's one of those that just dosent have the balls to tell you. Now he is choosing avoidance. Don't call him again. Just leave it alone. If a guy likes you and want's to spend time with you there is nothing that will stop him from doing so.

friday he found something else/better/he'd rather do and has no balls to tell you.

yes, i find it maddening that men do that. i am glad you didnt knock on his door...it would have made you appear desparate.

Uniq... <span style="font-style: italic">ehem </span>....from a man's point-of-view, sometimes we over book out time and simply have to disappoint the one that is less likely to inflict pain.

Look, on Thursday when you ask him about his weekend schedule BEFORE announcing YOUR desire, he already had plans but was not sure or willing to tell you at that time. Sooo when he said 'nothing', that's because you still have him pearched on first base and he was hoping for some 'luck'.

Real 'luck' came thru for him and hence the avoidance ('til next week).

Now him a go tell yu seh him Granny or him Aunty car bruk dung and him have to run some errands fi dem.

Hush! Just be available next week and don't intorogate him about his behaviour this week...and watch yu luck change!!

chalk this up to experience as he is not that into you and learn from the experience.
