Mi ansa quick (and rather short), "Never."
Im come back with (ahn a clear fi im throat at di sed time), "Happy Holiday." Im tell di current mr ilp that im would call later. mi hear car door shut, engine stawt, car back out of drive way, car drive up street.
Di current mr ilp shut di door and look pon mi ahn seh, "Lord, somebody always have drama around the holidays, huh?" Mi ansa im, "As long as it nuh you then is alright." Mi tell im fi go pick up di cup ahn plate ahn carry dem inna di kitchen.
No sooner di current mr ilp lef fi collect di plate, mi hear im ah giggle, "Oh Christ."
