I bet the interviews started with "Bonjourrr. Allo, 'ow are yew", Kiss kiss. "Enchante enchante".

I grew up in a French Province and I assure the people who drop h's are not of middle or upper class background.

When asked in an interview by his biographer Lawrence Martin about what subject he was best at in high school, Chrétien replied: "It was street fighting that I was best at"

- the fact that he is from the same part of the country as my ex
- his profession

So you don't see anything wrong with dropping h's either? So why did Dad flip out on me?

The first two definitely shouldn't matter. The third is highly subjective.

Dropping h's by a Jamaican tells a lot about their background... not their character, ambition or intelligence. I would be embarrassed to to marry a man who couldn't speak properly when the need to do so arises.

Wish I could remember what h he dropped last time. He asked for my name, how long I was going to be here and when I was coming back. Did not have the heart to tell him I would probably be a better match for his dad.
