Aspbergers is a high functioning type of Autism.. dem not violent at all. My friend bredda have it and her son has it to a degree. They had to have special training to learn social cues </div></div>

Kia, sound like you're on to something. I somehow missed your post. All the manipulative behaviour is a survival strategy. She probably feels just horrible about herself and having to take direction from not one but TWO Black women is probably far more than she is equipped to handle.You're in a very complex situation. You know the expression.....&quot;when you find your head in a lion's mouth, take it out....SLOWLY&quot;. Be careful. I would be gradually exploring my options if I were you.

Thanks Tropicana. I feel like Kia is on to something as well. So, I need to find a constructive way to manage this all.

This company is one of a few that I work for and they are a great fit other than pshyco girl........

nylah, if a no syndrome she have but an overwhelming psychological need for attention/approval, maybe u can suggest to her that ur approval and positive opinion of her is based on what she accomplishes, and not on her constant seeking of ur input.

but she sound like she have some kind of condition fi real. is it appropriate to ask her? although the attempted manipulation somehow doesn't support the syndrome idea, does it?

Both me and the previous Controller have done so. The CEO has even said the same during her performance reviews.

I have thru her file to get an idea of how the issue has been addressed in the past so I can figure out a future game plan.

So this is why I am leaning towards thinking it is a disorder of sorts. No matter how many times you tell her and positively reinforce that approve of her abilities and the results she produces, she still seeks the pat on the head. Matter of fact if you give her too much attention the behaviour becomes worst.

She then feels she can step accross boundaries and constantly chatter to you about anything and everything.

And yes, I am very worried about whether it is appropriate to ask her. I personally, dont feel comfortable doing so. I have to think about how to find out without invasion of privacy and possibly offending her. I am thinking a conversation with the owner is best first.


However, I do feel the manipulation part does fit into the &quot;pathology&quot; as it were. She doesnt get boundaries and finds it difficult to read others, so tries to control her environment and in some ways show her &quot;worth&quot; by doing some strange things.

If it was just me that felt this way, I would tell myself to suck it up and deal with a different personality than mine.....But the consensus is universal and am miffed that it hasnt been addressed until now.

I think I need to be a bit more &quot;cruel&quot;. If I disliked her, I'd have no trouble cutting her off at the knees.

But I feel like I want to help her but that may not be my role. I guess that is why I feel &quot;ferclempted&quot; about the whole thing

huge trap. i've had to learn to resist that compulsion in the work environment, because it came from a place of wanting to be liked by the person i want to help. doesn't always result in a constructive working relationship.
