Is there any way you can re-issue her a job description,or have some kind of progress meeting with her making sure to outline the things she is great at,and how efficient she is,...but also pointing out areas that you think she could possibly tighten up,she sounds like a nice person,just with the tendency to be annoying in some areas in the workplace.

but Tropi I just dont think she is that "clever" enough to be using racial dynamics.

Watch the gossipers and news carriers, they are the most dangerous of all. When they start playing dumb, watch your back. If they are barking mad, protect yourself or YOU will be blamed if they ever do something drastic. NEVER EVER lose your cool with them just get really professional in your demeanour. If they ever snipe at you or attack you in a meeting or in front of your boss, run don't walk to the nearest exit as soon as you can. She is doing it because she KNOWS she can get away with it. She is either connected to someone high up in the company or one of the subsidiaries or she is rooksin someone in high places.
