Question 2 for the Men re: Men Who Spend Nuff Money .....

...whining and dining a women month after month and then <span style="font-weight: bold"> INSIST</span> and swearing up and down that they were never attracted to the woman &quot;that way&quot; and they're &quot;just friends&quot;. Like what's up with that?

Since we are into part 1 and part 2 questions for men and women I thought that I would float <span style="font-weight: bold">THAT</span> one by the men. It's always confused and puzzled me.

Does it mean that the guy was basically investing and hoping to work himself into a friends with benefits scenario? I have seen this scenario played out a number of times and it noh mek no sense. Why would a man spend so much time and money on a woman for whom he felt no attraction? Are these bascially players looking for some action with no committment? Are they dropping dollars trying to see if she will drop the baggy on a no strings attached bassis?

Sometimes a man does that he gets himself stuck in the friendzone and just hopes she'll push it to another level, his ego makes him say he never wanted her in the first place, but he was too scared to take the risk and make it something more.

his ego can make him believe that he never wanted her in that way, I have a friend like that, but we can all see how bad he wanted the girl, his demeanour changed when he was around her he was sprung, but he always talked himself out of it for various reasons. SOmetimes it IS as you said a man is trying to get a friends with benefits deal butI think most times it's getting to a point where you lost your opportunity to take things further and now you're hoping fate will intervene and she'll tell you it's about time things changed.

i have had female friends who have benefitted from that generosity ..

most still do ..

we are just on &quot;that&quot; level ..

good friends ..

it would probably ruin the friendship ..

sometimes we need friends we can sit down with and discuss things without the tension of &quot;getting in the sack&quot;

you can be friends with a woman and go out to dinners and such with no intentions, I have friends like that too, but I don't spend nuff money on them or 'wine and dine' them, when I hear wine and Dine I hear 'courting ritual' not friendly link ups. if they have had a particularly rough time lately you can 'romance it up' a bit spoil them because they need it and you can give it, but to do it months on end, usually you're trying to get somewhere past a friendship. It in the end depends on the situation and the people involved, but you can't discount that there will chase hard and deny it if they haven't gotten anywhere.

also sometimes the chase only leads to a friendship and it's much better that way so even if you WERE once trying to get something, now you're happy with nothing but their company.

Yes it's possible...

but picking up the tab each and every time to the tune of hundreds upon hundreds of dollars? When I go out ith am male friend who is just a friend either we go Dutch or take turns picking up the tab. But candlelight dinner, walks in parks and gardens, picnics, concerts, shows, movies? Friday nights, Saturday nights, Sunday afternoons, weeek after week, month after month? Would you honestly do that with someone who is &quot;just a friend&quot; and pick up the tab each and every time?

I dont understand why a guy would spend his time and money wineing and dineing a woman then say he wasnt attracted to her,it just doesnt make sense,...guys usually invest their time and money in a woman in the hope that baggy will slip down at some stage,...and in some cases she doesnt have to be all that attractive.
Years ago before I got married and was a big time player I was friends with a girl who was 28 and said she was still a virgin,...that was like a red rag to a bull to me,man I wined and dined that girl,I pulled every card in the pack to get her to drop the baggy,meanwhile I kept up the pretence that I was just a friend,....in the end I gave up,she drank like a bloody fish,she was costimg me too much for little return.
