well both of their birthdays have past this year and he turned 25 and she turned 30

Was her father a lot like this man?

So are you going to tell your friend that this relationship is not healthy? I understand if you don't but it is difficult watching someone getting married knowing that it probably headed to divorce because of trust.

i dont really know if her father is like him. He wasnt involved in her life until she was an adult but i met him once and he seems like a nice man.

I am not in the middle of anything. What do u consider me being in the middle? i mean besides the fact that he calls me or my phone looking for her?

i offered my opinion to her once out of concern for her and that was it.

I dont think I can. I mentioned this to her when she told me they were engaged. She doesnt seem to mind dealing with it and thinks its cute that he is so obsessive because to her it means he loves her just that much. U cant tell her anything about him.

It is very difficult to watch this day in and day out but I think all i can do is just be there for her whenever she needs me and hope and pray nothing happens to set him off to do anything to harm her.

but Fancy you are in the middle because he calls on your cell phone to keep tabs on her.

I think she thinks it is cute he behaves this way because she thinks this is positive attention, not realizing this is controlling behavior and unhealthy.

True. But what am i supposed to do about that?

SHE will even be mad at me if i say something about him calling to check on her like he does. Like i said she thinks its cute.

and if u even mention his name and controlling in the same sentence she loses control. Its how much he loves her in her eyes...not controlling.

you are aiding him in his dysfunction with this phone business....tell him to stop calling you. he's using you to keep tabs on his woman...it's sick...and it's not alright.

he needs to get his own phone.

by allowing him to use your phone to keep tabs on her, it comes across that you are supporting this relationship but by coming on here it seems that you don't support it. U right. I do think this relationship is unhealthy. I came on here to vent
And i feel stuck in the middle and there's nothing i can do about it. If i dont allow the calls he gonna get mad at her, then she gonna get mad at me for not giving her the phone when he calls cuz when she get home she gonna have to hear his mouth about why he couldnt reach her on my phone.

if she's mad at you, then she's WRONG too. she can stick her head in the sand if she wants, but that doesn't mean you need to support her idiotic ways....by supporting it, you're condoning it...albeit under protest.

get some spine girl...if you lose her friendship, it will be for the right reasons.
