Jamaican Luv.. My Heaven on Earth

Good Morning,

I am new to the site and just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. Thanks Peasie for the invite!!!

I have been in a relationship with a JA man for two months now and we are still learning, building, growing and rising in love with each other. I tell ya he dispelled all the myths/stereotypes that I have heard/read about JA men. He cooks, clean, work, very proud of his country and very family oriented. He's laid back don't like trouble has a very calm spirit a homebody.

My man is very open, honest and intouch with his feelings/emotions; he listens to me; he encourages me and is very supportive of my goals and such and I am with him. In addition what I love about him is even when he calls himself being mad with me and sayz he don't want to talk to me a few hours later he ends up calling to check on me to see how I am doing or if I need anything....sooooo sweeeeeeeettttt!!!

LOL!! Thanks SueSamba....well so far his actions/words have been truthful and consistent and plus he is very proud of his country Jamaica cuz he speaks about it all the time...so no red flags as of yet....LOL!!!

No not any longer....although my past relationships did not work out; I could not allow my past fears and insecurities dictate this new relationship with him...he is a very nice man and does not deserve that.

Hi Kia,

Yes we do...we actually live down the street from one another which is how we met. I had just come out of a relationship with my ex american man and was not looking to get involved with anyone at the moment because I feel that your heart/mind/spirit should be free and clear before entering into another relationship.

I must say that he is very persistent and knows what he wants and how to go by getting it because he got me. He would see me daily coming home from work and be on his porch chillin and he be like come here and I wave hi and shake my head no and keep going in the house...LOL!!!. This all went on for about a month and after I saws that he would not let up I just finally gave in and said let me see wassup wit him so I asked him to come down to my porch and we chatted a bit; exchanged numbers and here we are today.

It's funny because I had no idea that he was sitting back observing me and he said that he saw that I was not a loose woman and did not have a lot of traffic/people in and out of my home....I am a professional woman and founder of my own non-profit org and so I stay busy...so mostly people in neighborhood see me coming and leaving...yet I have made time for him.

LOL!! Yes, because I asked questions..as I stated in my newbie intro I had hear a lot of negative stereotypes about Jamaican well West Indian men period and he answered and said that he had nothing to hide from me. It is such a blessing to have met him and I am glad that I introduced myself to him because I have been through a lot with men and not only that I am a very open, honest, caring and giving person and sometimes that was not always reciprocated back in my previous relationships so the universe is really in sync with this relationship cuz it has been a long time coming for me and with that I thank the creator each and every day.

Hi Ceabee thanks for the warm welcome...I am not hip to the patios as of yet...lol!!! however I am a very private person and since this is a public forum I use discretion in my posts and I will never post anything in regards to our relationship that is deemed only for me and him and so I will let people know what I want them to know. So far it has been just general questions and I am cool with that.
