See now...the rules go like this:


1.Parents will provide <span style="text-decoration: underline">child</span> with an abode until educational requirements have been completed.

2.There will be no overnight guests e v e r ... and whenever <span style="font-style: italic">guests </span> visit... the bedroom door shall remain o p e n should one even think of entering.
Guests will be entertained in the living room.

3.Proper decorum will be expected of all guests at all times.



<span style="font-size: 8pt"><span style="font-style: italic">Mother will not cohabit while child is still under roof so as to lead by example.</span></span>


Should these rules prove unbearable, then apparently the child has failed to learn what the parents have tried to impart about decency in living. ...which then leads to all this ...out of awdaness......which sometimes cannot be fixed or even addressed because there has been too much water under the bridge...

RC- from the way how this girl behaave yuh know di son noh respeck di madda.. I can jus imagine how dat bway mout aff im madda to har. She come into that house with pre-conceived attitude about the Mother. Shi Renk and fava!

Anyhoo.. as everyone have stated the rules have to be established up front. Just this past Christmas my cousins - one 32 and engaged could not even sleep in the same room as im fiance ..and my other cousin who is 23 brought his girlfren over and she left the same night after dinner. My Aunt lay down law long time. So everybady know dem place.

Mi a big ooman at 29 (<span style="font-style: italic">shut up Peasie</span>) have to follow dese same rules to. Dem pickney yah nowadays too outta arda!

See, this is the potential window of vulnerability and not surprisingly di bwoy went straight for it. So then the question is, how do you have your owna SO overnight then turn around have a different set of rules for an &quot;adult&quot; child, whether the gyal facety or not ?

Most of us have hard and fast rules about when to have an SO overnight (if ever) when we have minor children in the house (another topic for another thread) but how do you finesse this when the pickney grow but don't have his/her place yet ? Are you really expected to live like they are still 6 years old and &quot;<span style="font-style: italic">not cohabit while child is still under roof so as to lead by exampl</span>e&quot;.?

if they're an adult then they should get their own place or pay some rent and can mek dem own rules.

the kids have all kinds of expenses (car, credit card) instead of rent

if he thinks he can run over his mom at 19 - he'll still be living there at 40
