I find making expectations known in a relationship from the get go to be better than to just leave things up in the air. Never found it wise to say &quot;I don't have no expectations of you&quot; then go around being snoopy, etc. Unless the man is there for one sole purpose and that is sex. If that's the case den mi expect him to come wid nuff stamina and a big buddy. LOL!

On a serious note, these are just some of the things that I look for and need to build something that is lasting and enjoyable.

Honesty is #1 for me. I don't like dishonesty and can smell it a mile off. Don't make up stories to make yourself look believable. I need someone that I can trust in my life and who can trust me as well.

Financially secure. Mi nuh waan nuh bruk pocket fi come live off a mi.

Good listener, thoughtful speaker. Someone whom I can talk with on any subject matter, from the intellect to the mundane.

Delicate topics such as having children... I made that known from day one.

wikkid point this. I was discussing this with Mr Man today. I got burned really bad my a so called friend that took info I gave her about some trouble I was having with the guy I was dating at the time (and she set us up ) and she ran her mouth to others. It made its way back to him....and my only defense was &quot;but she is my best friend, I tell her everything&quot; Wrong thing to say cause relationship was done.

Learned my lesson on this one. Keep your business between u and your man to yourself.
