Well, it was like this. Mr. Peas really wanted us to get married but he didn't want to pressure me - he's somewhat older, I was still in graduate school. But he fell in love hard and felt he had found his soulmate in me. Mi never feel the same way about him ... that came later but somehow I knew this man was going to be my husband

After a year into our relationship, he got very serious one day when we went out to eat at some cheap Chinese restaurant. He asked me about my 'short-term' and 'long-term' plans and whether he was going to be part of my future. Now this man, usually eloquent, was just fumbling with words and quite frankly, he sounded pitiful Finally I said to him, &quot;Look, do you want us to get married?&quot; Hear him, &quot;Phew. I thought you would never ask!&quot; *kissteet* So, technically, I proposed.

Mi noh into dem kine a engagment business and mi nevah want no engagement ring We were married the following year.
