Would you cancel your wedding if you have spent like $5k for the venue and you found out the man you were gonna marry is not really who you thought he was?
or
would you just go through with it since you spent all that money and just get a divorce later like when you REALLY can't stand him anymore?

a portion of the 5K will be refundable but even if it isn't I would not go through with the wedding.

Cancel it .. Di divorce could cost more dan di 5K and like Tanya sey yuh could prab get a portion a dat back.
i think all but $300 would be refunded but i'm not sure...they put $300 down to secure the date. Then every month they have to make a payment of $600 towards the total cost. I think the total is somewhere around $7k. so i'm just guessing that the place would keep the $300 since that was what they HAD to put down just to secure the date. but i dont know how these things work so i guess they could be out more than just the $300

the wedding is in May. so if they cancel within the time frame in the contract then they would get their money back? or maybe all except the initial $300??

Maybe i can't get back all the money I already spent, but some part a it must be refundable..
The only reason dat would mek mi do that is if mi bizniz bout wah other ppl might think...an i could really careless wah ppl waan tink bout mi when it come on to relationship..wuss if mi ago unhappy.

I think I felt horrible on all 3 of my wedding days. It seemed like I got caught up and had to go through with things.
First wedding, I was ready to get out of my parents house. They were old-fashioned and didn’t want me to live alone or with girlfriends. So in January I got married and in September - same year - I moved into my own place.
Second wedding, we dated for 4 years and the relationship had really run its course. So we decided to get married to add some excitement. It was so exciting we couldn’t stand it and we got divorced in less than 4 years.
Third wedding, I was dating abu's’s dad while I was working in the UK. He was much too young for me but a nice dalliance and a connection to the Jamaican community over there (I was already a Jamaicaholic). My work ended and I told him I was going back to the US and he could either come with me and get married or we would just say goodbye because I wasn’t having a long distance relationship. He said he was coming to the USA. We were married less than 5 years. Just long enough for him to get his US citizenship.
Now that's just the story of the 3 husbands - i won't get it the 1.1 and 1.2 2.4 and 3.3 folks

the closer it gets to the wedding the more she complaining about him...he dont do this and he aint doing that...blah blah blah
there has been several occassions where he has said to her "THE WEDDING IS OFF!" and then they next thing u know its like they in lala land again
she chalks it up to whatever excuse she wants to give. 1st it was because he quit smoking so nicotine mek him act like so and then it was because the moon is in his sign and some other BS
so i was thinking maybe she dont wanna cancel cuz she spent so much money (notice i said SHE) and i know for a fact she dont wanna look like a fool in front of everybody since she has told EVERYBODY under the sun about him and how he's so great and inviting everyone to the wedding to "celebrate their love" as she puts it. so in my opinion i think she would rather drap dung before cancel the wedding
