I think I felt horrible on all 3 of my wedding days. It seemed like I got caught up and had to go through with things.

First wedding, I was ready to get out of my parents house. They were old-fashioned and didn’t want me to live alone or with girlfriends. So in January I got married and in September - same year - I moved into my own place.

Second wedding, we dated for 4 years and the relationship had really run its course. So we decided to get married to add some excitement. It was so exciting we couldn’t stand it and we got divorced in less than 4 years.

Third wedding, I was dating abu's’s dad while I was working in the UK. He was much too young for me but a nice dalliance and a connection to the Jamaican community over there (I was already a Jamaicaholic). My work ended and I told him I was going back to the US and he could either come with me and get married or we would just say goodbye because I wasn’t having a long distance relationship. He said he was coming to the USA. We were married less than 5 years. Just long enough for him to get his US citizenship.

Now that's just the story of the 3 husbands - <span style="font-weight: bold">i won't get it the 1.1 and 1.2 2.4 and 3.3 folks</span>

i guess that is why mi nu blieve in di institution of weddings. cah most people miss di point of it in the first place. the wedding is supposed to be a sacred intro to the marriage. fi most people everyting done once di wedding done.

5000K is a nice downpayment on a house. or mek a nice vacation. or smaddy tuition.

thats what i think too. and what all she will have to go through in the end is MUCH more complicated than money. he is supposed to be adopting her daughters and they will have his last name and stuff. she supposed to be getting pregnant for him since he dont have any kids of his own. oh yea...it would be a hott mess

she bought the dress...well i dont know if she got it out yet or not but she picked it, paid money on it and she took pictures in it to show all of us (the MOHs and BMs)

Bway mi ina wan peica consulation wid wan a mi male cousin... Dis paas christmas his Fiance didn't show up at the family gathering as in the past and come to find out dem did ina war.

Im woulden say what about but im did confide in mi sey di <span style="font-style: italic">small</span> wedding he was hoping for is now 250 people and getting to 60k Mi feel a dem dey kina stress mek im an har a fall out every minute.

Mi noh know what to tell im because im a notice how di girl a mke di family come between im and she. Mi nervous fi im cause dem dey kina family squable noh end when di ring put on

Im a hint sey im waan call aff di wedding but is like im noh waan mek dis hole ting a dissapointment. I doan know what to tell im. It easy fi mi fi sey cancel it but mi cyan tell if a stress or if im nat into di girl anymore.

okay let me give a little history...

her best friend got married last year in June or July so its like a competition type thing. she said her bf's wedding was ghetto b/c she spent what she could <span style="font-weight: bold">afford</span> and wasnt tryna impress anybody. now her bf and her husband ready to get divorced. but they shouldnt have gotten married in the beginning. that marriage was doomed from the start. it was built on lies and deception. anyway my friend has been telling her bf since forever not to go thru with it but she did it anyway cuz she didnt wanna look stupid too
so now here my friend is in the same boat as her bf and i think she dont wanna cancel to #1 prove a point and #2 so she can have her day to shine. her first marriage was not very good and she didnt have a wedding. so now she wants to do it big and have a dream wedding that she can barely afford and really the average couple would take care of other responsibilities and things that have to deal with before spending $10k or more on a wedding ESPECIALLY when they have so many issues

she done took him to the family reunion and showing off her 1.5 carat ring <span style="text-decoration: line-through">she</span> they bought and have family from out of town coming and all this and that. they been to the infertility doctor about getting her pregnant since she had a tubal and they consulted whoever u talk to about adopting her kids. she <span style="text-decoration: line-through">forged</span> filed for divorce from her first husband...
there is NO WAY she gonna just move on

i mean i know i have a lot of old fashioned beliefs when it comes to serious relationships (not like mi dating fiasco mi have a gwaan right yah now ) but i feel like when you marry someone it should be for love and not for money, appearance, and just to be married or just to say i have someone that is committed to me

when and IF i get married it will be to someone that i love and that loves me. not just to get married
i have waaaay to much fun being single so it aint that serious to me to be married and be miserable and stressed the hell out all the time

Well, why not suggest that they <span style="text-decoration: underline">postpone</span> the wedding til they're both sure???

Why not remind her too, that her kids are going to be affected by the decision she makes so she should just stop thinking about herself...

one doesnt need to get married to have commitment. NOR does getting married mean you have commitment.

she postponed it twice already
they were supposed to be married in 2009 (dont remember the date) then in April 2010 and now its May 2010

um i dont think she is concerned about the girls considering they call him Daddy and they have these very scary and heated arguments in front of them and actually i think in her eyes giving them so called stability and a father figure <span style="font-weight: bold">is </span>for them

she is 30 he is 25 or 26
