Anyway, I applaud your statement. As a woman who have no problem in going after what I want, I have been classified a 'chaser'...

I did not ever feel demeaned or cheap because I would chose to show an interest in a man before he could approach me.

I think a lot of this chasing bizniz comes down to self-confidence. <span style="font-weight: bold">I know me. I know what I like. And I am a risk taker. I can handle rejection and I'm not afraid of failure.</span>

I think a man who would be offended or put off by a woman who shows interest wouldn't be a strong enough man for me. And I do love a strong man - a man who's not afraid of allowing me to be me.

I agree with you Queen lady. A man or a woman should not view genuine interest from the opposite sex as being chased. Also if one party sees himself or herself as chasing with no response, stap ie and move on.

I respect your response Queen, but in my own experience this is false. If you want something, including a relationship, you should ask. I cannot stand to have to guess what the other person needs or wants, especially if we are talking about adults here! Mi cyaan tek dat likkle foolish dance ppl do to get what they want from the other person - pretending to be the &quot;catch&quot; while you are the &quot;chaser&quot; . It's the old bait-and-switch foolishniss dat is just not for me \0/

Peas, I actually agree with Queen lady. There shouldn't have to be any cat and mouse game when it comes to a relationship. If you are a meant to be together, everything will be natural.

Peasie, I agree with what you said if its what you want you go after it without the song and dance ...and that can be done in so many ways. I have asked before straight up - &quot;do you want to be with me&quot; or have said &quot;I want you&quot; without inhibitions if its someone I am interested in. So with that being said, I dont have a problem being fortright if that is what is meant by being a &quot;chaser&quot;

yah, i'm with peasie on this; i have no interest in guessing games and high-school foolishness. that's for youths when they first learning how to go about relationships, not for adults. if two grown ppl like one another, they can 'drap seeds' of interest in a straight up way without playing cat-and-mouse about it.

the 'chasing' thing just plays into outmoded ideas of one person having an 'upper hand', which to me has no place in a balanced relationship between two adults.

if yuh like me and wanna get to know me, just tell me so. And/or if i like you i will tell you so. Then we can go from there...

My comparison was that even for the natural act of a seed taking root and growing, there was a preliminary action of getting that seed to make contact with the ground.

I tend to agree with Queen and Compray... if two people are in the same place and it is RIGHT. No games need to be played, it just come natural.

But I do see your point about supply and demand, and I know many who are conditioned to feel same way...
