u'd think it strokes my ego - it doesn't. just makes me mad that mi work fi rebuild my life and mi community and she waan come inject harself back in it. i like her, she's cool and 5% of me considered going back or dating her again but di 95% memba di ish we went thru and it mek mi

naw man but eff she was at least that interesting it wudden be so bad - mi wuda be a likkle intrigued.

it was a bline date weh mi fren who claim she have impeccable judgement set up. mi go in wondering ef she wud have a god complex - u know how some docs are . well turns out she more granola than i like and tho she's been out of her last relationship for 3 yrs it still look like she a recover. she seem fragile.

di deal breaker was dat i cudden see miself getting a boner and eff dat nuh deh deh wat di point? i not looking for a roomate situation.

we same age bracket
we both independent - own wi owna house and car and pay we owna bills
met, fell fi one anedda, she move in wid mi, mi downsize fi she fit in and created a whole meditation room fi har weh not even puss was allowed fi step in widdout permission - it was all her space 'cause i thought it was important

i wasn't perfect but i tried. i hated to discuss money (we had joint accounts for savings, bills, vacay, taxes etc.) everything else she can know bout but nuh have di right fo tell mi how fi hangle. but i paid off some of her bills so is not like mi stingy.

i didn't do laundry the way she liked so we did our own

i never packed in time for flights and it would stress her out. she learned to low mi and trust that i pack on the last day and never missed a flight.

she drank too much, drove and got confrontational when tipsy - that one remained unresolved

she never listened - and i am not being trite - she would wander off as i spilled my guts, lose focus, never acknowledge weh mi a seh. so mi stop tell har tings, our intimacy got affected, we became like roomates who fought nuff. she suspected she had ADD but never do nutten bout it until after the breakup and then we were able to talk for 12 hrs straight and i finally felt heard

adult nap time was a huge issue - she had body issues, our lack of emotional intimacy and ting just affected it

we decided to move cities - me first then she to follow. it was fraught with drama and angst and her resentment. her move didn't happen. matter of fact she dumped me and collected her tings and move dem back to old city.

i learned to be friends with her afterwards - hosted her for her bday, spent time with her fam out of state (without her) and we occasionally talk on the phone.

i am now finally ready to date other people

bwoy cuntry di 5% no promising at all. ah tink mi a di one wid resentment now. all mi can memba is har complaints bout mi and i think if mi go back it naw guh much diffrant and mi will be plagued wid anxiety but alla wat she tink mi not doing right. it seemed dat dat was all it was about - she always need mi fi do certain tings certain way or a soso awgument.

di docta deh pon life suppowt ah mean she nuh seem vibrant. she live fi di kids and still seem to have major issues wid di ex (also mother of the kids). but u know she leff medical school and sekkle dung and had kids right away. she nuh know di ways of di dating world at all it seem.

but she is active (soccer, gym, running), she is compassionate (it seems - she was polite to the wait staff - always a good clue), she loves her kids madly and gets along well with her family it seems.

BUT if i wanted a shag i dunno if i cud go there

a dat mi a seh too. so she works flexible hours and mi learn dat docs get paid per patient in some systems. so she see as many patients in 29 hours between M-Th then she tek Fri awf. so mi aks har wah she do pon fridays - she seh she hang out at di school wid di kids (or she will go run errands) as long as di kids or school want har there. is an alternate school or sinting lakka dat so dem encourage parents fi come in, participate, hang wid di teachers and di pickney dem. her kids are about to turn 7 and 9.

is her kids to raise and mi nuh have a chick or chile and will not comment on her choices but some a dem wudden work for me.

she came straight from work to the date - i wanted it to be coffee so mi cudda bounce, she wanted dinner. i gave in. despite di fact that she had a long day at work, mi tink she cuda did spruce up likkle. put on likkle lip gloss, put some spit pan har finga and straighten up di brows. and don't mention the unfortunate haircut . like i said, ah tink she been off di scene fi too long.

and whereas mi nuh mine see mi ex and actually wish her well and happy when she do good, dacta lady drop a comment that ef she never had to deal wid har ex fi di ress a har life sheeda happy. a suh mi know dat 3 years into therapy she still struggling wid what she termed a messy breakup
