Well it was interesting the way it ended. She made the wrong choice though. Roberto is definitely incredibly hot and she feels more passion for him but that will wear off. She had more in common with the other guy. Heck their family backgrounds were very similar. She grew up in the same state as the other guy. Her father and his were both from Montreal. Any man who has moved back home to look after his sick mother has proven that he will be there for you when you're sick.

I'm confused. On dating sites and at singles events, the overhwelming majority of White men, most of the Asian men and even a few of the Black men are clamouring after an Ali. (Ali is the latest bachelorette.) Based on what men write in thier profiles, Ali is just about the total package....bright, attractive, bubbly personality, not stuck up, BLONDE...



Grant it, her boobs aren't as big as what most of the guys say they want....

Other than that, she supposedly has it all. When the guys arrived for the 1st episode their eyes were as big as saucers when they saw her. They all seemed ga-ga over her. I remember thinking...well that settles it. She's set for life.

Then how do you account for this?

Why the games? Why the drama?

Finally, if the players can give such convincing performances, how does one really spot the players early in the game.

I believe that men are conditioned to be motivated by scarcity.

I also believe that men are conditioned to seek out physical indicators of fertility (hip to waist ratio, breast size, general indicators of health such as symmetry) - and this translated into what is called 'beauty'.

The combination of those 'beauty' factors and a greater motivation towards the scarcer item increases attraction.

So if she has the 'beauty' factors and keeps herself scarce (but not inaccessible) - then the interest is maintained.

If she is too available, then the scarcity comes down, which decreases attractiveness.

Not sure how much more to break it down, but I will do what I can.

1) IMO, people tend to value that which is hard to find or achieve - be it a good life partner, a gold nugget, or a PhD.

2) That being said, people may not make much of an effort towards those things that may not be reasonably attainable to that person, such as growing wings out your back, or buying that beautiful Mediterranean island with cash.

3) They also tend to devalue the thing in plentiful supply. An example is a drowning man would probably give his index finger for the next breath of air, but those reading this post may not have thought about the last 10 breaths they drew.

Between those three variables, lie our level of demand for almost everything material or relationship-based.
