these days? marriages have always been open...just with the husband getting his on the side....that was acceptable and to some degree still is....when a woman gets hers too then everyone gets their draws knotted up.....

i was reading a long running thread from this man whose wife was the &quot;open&quot; one. she told him before marriage that she was poly. he said he was fine with it. now he's not. she gives him play by play on who she is doing - even going so far to spend the weekend with the other man.

he's all tangled up in woe because of this. everyone was telling him to leave her since they don't have kids, she doesn't seem to respect him and they're only 2 years into the marrage.

Aint that the truth..especially back in those days when men were sole bread winners and felt &quot;entitled&quot; to many women.

In my opinion if a married couple decides on an open marriage then it can only lead to tears or disappointment,or a split.
The fact that you both decide to have sex with different people in the first place means that something is lacking,even if it`s just for the thrill.

I think that the woman is more likely to benefit form the arrangement, as women are far more likely to attract a guy than a guy to attract a woman,this could lead to problems if the man thinks the woman is getting more out of the deal than he is.
