unless i have a different interpretation of a love child... for me a love child is the product between two people who are in love with each other and have produced a child that is a product of their love.

I don't believe the wife owes the child anything, she is not responsible for uprooting her life and that of her children to accommodate a child she was not a party in producing. My children wd not have any forced relationship with this sibling and there definitely would be no sleepovers, then again, the husband would be gone but sadly the &quot;love&quot; child wd suffer because I wd take every strikin thing he has including him draws sell it an mine MY pickney dem.

I see this in our culture alot I have some ppl who i am related to thru marriage of another fam mbr and the man went out and have 3 kids and all 3 come for weekends - now the wife who has bottled all this up inside has been hospitalized for stress.

unless i have a different interpretation of a love child... for me a love child is the product between two people who are in love with each other and have produced a child that is a product of their love.

love child is just a nice way of saying a child conceived as a result of an affair outside of the established marriage years ago the term was bastard but i think politically correctedness has address dat an we now seh love child.

It seems like they have been sick of each other from almost the beginning. Now, that's something I know about. Believe me, the only thing she's probably thinking is thank God I can finally get this sucka up out of here.

And she's getting $200 million so that should definitely soothe her some lol.

MIAMI—When he was president of Venezuela, Carlos Andrés Pérez kept the two families he fathered—one with his wife, the other with a mistress—in separate spheres. Both sides say they maintained a tense silence—never visiting, speaking to, or even acknowledging each other.

Then Mr. Pérez died at the age of 88 last December, and decades of simmering resentment spewed forth. Now the families are clashing in a courtroom battle here over where to lay him to rest.

The wife, Blanca Rodríguez de Pérez, wants to inter him in Venezuela, which he led during two terms, from 1974 to 1979 and from 1989 to 1993.

&quot;He was always talking about coming back to Venezuela,&quot; says María Carolina Pérez, one of Mr. and Mrs. Pérez's daughters, who says she is a spokeswoman for her mother.

The mistress, Cecilia Matos, prefers Miami, where she lived with Mr. Pérez for most of the last decade, until he passed away.

She claims Mr. Pérez said he never wanted to be buried in Venezuela as long as his nemesis, President Hugo Chávez, was in charge.

Since Mr. Pérez failed to spell out his preferences in writing, it's now up to a Florida judge to decide, in a trial scheduled for August. State law gives the surviving spouse priority in choosing where to bury the deceased. In this case, that's Mrs. Pérez, who remained married to the ex-president until his death, though she never saw him again after he left Venezuela in 1999.

But the law also says that the deceased's intent, if it can be established by &quot;clear and convincing evidence,&quot; can override the spouse's rights. Now each side is gathering witnesses to back up its version of what Mr. Pérez's true wishes were.

The dispute has escalated into an operatic free-for-all, including allegations of jealousy, vengeance and machinations by Mr. Chávez. Meanwhile, Mr. Pérez's embalmed corpse lies in a refrigeration unit at a Miami funeral home.

When Mr. Pérez died, Ms. Matos arranged a funeral in Miami. She planned to lay him to rest in a local cemetery, in one of two side-by-side plots she bought for the two of them, by mutual agreement with Mr. Pérez, she says. As soon as Mrs. Pérez—who was in Venezuela and didn't attend the service—got wind of the plan, she hired a lawyer, who obtained a court order blocking the burial.

Mrs. Pérez, who married Mr. Pérez in 1948 and is now 85 years old, argued that her husband should be buried in his homeland. Initially, Ms. Matos, who is 65, appeared to relent, issuing a press release saying she would agree to send Mr. Pérez back to Venezuela. But she quickly retracted it, and later explained she made the statement to buy time.

Mrs. Pérez's family says Ms. Matos is trying to claim the role of Mr. Pérez's de facto wife. &quot;Ms. Matos is desperate for a recognition that she does not deserve,&quot; said Mrs. Pérez's children in a press release in March.

María Carolina Pérez calls Ms. Matos &quot;my father's mistake&quot; and &quot;the only bad side of his life.&quot;

Ms. Matos counters that the other family is simply spiteful because she was Mr. Pérez's chosen one. &quot;They say I'm the mistress, but he loved me for 40 years,&quot; she says, pointing to a letter she says he wrote to her in 1966, the year their relationship began. &quot;I surrender myself to you with my soul and my total, longing being,&quot; the letter says. They first met two years before that, when she was the 18-year-old presenter at an award ceremony for him.

Each family claims it received more of Mr. Pérez's attention. &quot;We were very close,&quot; says María Carolina Pérez, who says her family lived in the presidential residence during her father's two administrations.

María Francia Pérez Matos, one of Ms. Matos's two daughters with Mr. Pérez, says her family split its time between their house and a suite in the presidential office (which Mrs. Pérez disputes). &quot;He lived with us most of the time,&quot; she says.

By the end of Mr. Pérez's first term, his relationship with Ms. Matos was an open secret in Venezuela, both sides say.

During his second term, he would regularly take her to social engagements that his wife didn't attend. Cecilia Victoria Pérez-Matos, Ms. Matos's other daughter, says sometimes &quot;things went awry and Blanca would show up at events where my Mom was at,&quot; prompting handlers to quickly usher Ms. Matos out.

Mr. Pérez traveled abroad with Ms. Matos to official functions, including a party thrown by French President François Mitterrand to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the French Revolution. Mr. Mitterrand himself had a wife and mistress, though they handled his death more amicably, both attending his funeral.

Mr. Pérez initiated divorce proceedings against Mrs. Pérez in 1997, but she contested them. Venezuelan courts declined to grant the divorce.

The burial battle has also spawned a fight over the possessions of Mr. Pérez, who didn't leave a will, including his writings and gifts from foreign leaders like paintings and Persian rugs.

Mrs. Pérez's family says they belong in Venezuela, in a museum or library. But Ms. Matos says the ex-president asked her to safeguard these items decades ago. And she fears if they're sent to Venezuela, Mr. Chávez will get hold of them and destroy them.

The animosity between the two Venezuelan leaders dates back to at least 1992, when Mr. Chávez led a failed coup attempt against Mr. Pérez. The revolt was suppressed, and Mr. Pérez had his rival imprisoned.

In 1999, Mr. Pérez left the country to join Ms. Matos, who had left years earlier. Mr. Pérez and Ms. Matos were facing charges of embezzling public funds made by government prosecutors, which the couple dismissed as a political witch hunt. After Mr. Chávez became president that same year, he tried unsuccessfully to have Mr. Pérez extradited.

Ms. Matos, along with many Venezuelan exiles in Miami, accuse Mr. Chávez of secretly supporting Mrs. Pérez's litigation so he can finally nab his longtime foe and bury him. Mrs. Pérez's family calls that fanciful, since they themselves are anti-Chávez.

Mr. Chávez denies meddling in the case. &quot;Neither he nor his government has anything to do with this legal fight,&quot; said Angelo Rivero Santos, the chargé d'affaires at the Venezuelan embassy, in a statement.

&quot;It's just ugly that this is what it has come down to,&quot; says Cecilia Victoria Pérez-Matos, Ms. Matos's daughter.

That may be the only point on which the two families agree. &quot;We're making fools of ourselves,&quot; says María Carolina Pérez.
