Yeah, I thought you were more worked up than you were lol.

My mom used to go on a yearly principals convention. To be honest, I think my parents needed that lil break from each other even though it was only a week. The stories were always hilarious when she got back

One year they did go to Vegas - male, female, married, divorced all on the same trip. Aside from her hotel roommate Sally getting drunk, gambling away all her money, and going to bed for the last 3 days, I managed to cause more trouble that week than ever.

Went by my boyfriend's house after school every day, beat up my younger brother, had an accident in their new car during the fight (he tried to show out in front of his friend after I was chauffeuring them about the place and had just bought them some ice cream cones). I can still see my daddy's face go from delight to see us to disgust when I went by his office to show him the car.

My point is that trips make for good stories. Everybody truly does need a break from the norm sometimes.

They were happy to see each other whenever she got back and I didn't get in trouble for my infractions during the Vegas trip lol.

I was going to ask if he was muslim but if he is african then there could be some cultural tings going on ... now wondering if he is muslim and african

Well the weekend was gonna be a boys w/end, w/ a mixture of men w/ varied commitment status but because of the friends who can now make the trip the 'wife' is not comfortable. The bachelors who dont have other commitments, (and therefore able to make this trip) are all single- as in single till the next female passes by

So since she pictures a w/end of excess, she is suggesting that she comes along and does shopping while they do the boys thing. He feels like she's trying to be a chaperone

She would agree with that, but its the type of friends and their history of activities If one or more of your single girlfriends always got into some kind of 'trouble' or was prone to certain behaviours, which often get worse when there is a group energy feeding their behaviour, would he still be ok and not worried about you hanging in this certain crowd? Would it matter if you were there or not? Does your being in the hotel room (rather than miles away) prevent him from getting dragged in to a stupid situation?&gt;

Peer pressure? Is he 12? I guess it just depends on the person.

I lost virginity late as compared to my friends, but plenty of other things good or bad I did first.

I have been on a helluva lot of road trips through the years and I only do what I want to do regardless of who else does what.

Maybe there is a different way of looking at this thing. Your friend knows whether her man is a leader or a follower. If she's concerned then perhaps she has has reason to be.

You may have a point. It goes back to Tanya's comment about why *he* would want to go on the trip with the other men that are going. If they are a little wild, why would he subject himself to that? :hmmm:

yes, both of the married friends were with me on the same vacation ... while I was chewing out my married friend about her behavior, the other married girl kept interrupting me to let me know I should not be interfering <span style="font-style: italic">guess what? ... we three never went on a vacation again</span>

<span style="text-decoration: underline">NOTE</span>: personally, I don't keep close friends that I cannot be 100% honest with, and I expect the same treatment in return. My ex-husband's best friend was going to visit my ex-husband at both my house and my ex-husband's girlfriend's house. The 'best friend' never said a word to me (nor did his wife who also knew what was going on).
