I would not accompany her to the procedure. I would be there as her friend to emotionally support her (on the phone unless you had a planned trip) and to help her grieve and regain her strength. I would not kick her as she is down cause if the Mr nah go den her life has many complexities she is dealing with at the moment.

I heard/read in the paper how they do full term/close to term abortions here (in cowtown) and it is downright heartless/heartbreaking, crule and inhumane.

She can tell her the truth afterwards after all it was a joint decision to terminate the pregnancy.

and she can not be swayed at this stage to keep the child? can she be persuaded to check out support groups for ppl with sickle cell?

does she want to avoid having the child because her marriage is not so healthy and it would be an additional stress - perhaps one she is dreading facing on her own should her marriage break up?

Is yuh fren, but if a me, sorry, mi couldnt go support her fi do suppen whey mi totally no agree with, no sah, and her reason selfish too. Plus, she want cover up the whole thing, if her reason is a good reason, why she want hide it from har madda? Her madda nuh woulda understand and support her decision? This going haunt her for a long time to come.
