that's right, you do have to be careful that they are on your same level. I do see more often older men going after young ladies and I do mean young, but I often have young men approach me alot, which I don't want that either, it's flattering but that's it, I get that alot at the gym. It makes me wonder what's the motive behind this. like I don't know.

nylah, i wouldn't rule out younger guys as a matter of course, depending on how much younger they are you may find a prospect there. surprisingly a lot of younger men can be much more progressive than the older types who will demand to know why at "your age, you're not _____" whatever, fill in the blank [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif[/img]

Like MsPeachy I have to fend off married men and the baby boys. Or as in the case of my last trip to Jamaica - my twisted cousins - but that's another story!

But you're right again, the younger guys shouldnt be completely ruled out. A few years doesnt bother me but more than a decade is another matter - which I seem to attract for some reason. Life has taught me that being on the same level as someone isnt equal to the same income bracket. Expensive suits and a fat bank roll does not a nice person make [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70400-talktohand.gif[/img]

I've met a few blue-collar, hard-working decent men who are on my "level" in general but not on the marriage level - fair enough. I dont want to trap someone just cause I'm desperate and have both of us unhappy at some point along the yellow brick road...

same level can mean emotional/spiritual. not necessarily a monetary thing. but being financially responsible should be a priority. the guy doesn't have to be rich, but him should know how fi hangle him bizniz.

You know, the older I get, the younger the men I attract..even though I am often told I look 10 yrs younger than I am( even by women..) I have dated younger men.. I am married to one..

Men my age are looking for younger..

I have never felt "desperate", and according to mi girlfrens, "mi alwayz have man roun mi". In fact, I have had quite a few eligible men cross my path.. I always get approached, I have been told that it's because I make my self look "available".. whatever that means??

The sad thing is when I hear the few non-married friends I have complain about what's missing in a potential mate, it's the financial angle they focus on w/o realising it. This maybe a sub-concious thing on their part.

Plus, the media places the emphasis on a women finding a man that can "take care" of them.

But being taken care of to me is more about the spiritual and emotional element. I want morals and ethics in a man. Not to get too freudian here but emotional solidness is what I want since that is what I had in my Dad.

To answer your question Sue - I guess I am content with life (in that regards). To be honest though, the aspect that does keep me up at night sometimes is the not having kids yet. I love my career, etc but more than someone calling me wifey and want someone to call me mummy....But I really dont want to do it alone.

So, in a few years, adoption will have to enter into the picture. Unless, I let some cute baby boy knock me up!

I think that's to much, I know love doesn't have an age to it but you have to have something in common, plus they don't have a chance to grow with some one much older, older men are set really in their ways.
