She received an engagement ring, only to find out that her finance of 3 years had a "spotted" past that she insists need to be resolved before she can sincerely set the wedding date.
She discussed that with him to which he agreed until he decided that if she loved him, she would take him "with his spots".
After she refused to move forward until he takes care of his business, he in turn became angry, called off the engagement and asked for her to return the ring.
She said it was a gift and see no reason why she should return it, and furthermore, he was the one who called it off, as she was willing to wait until he clean up his "spots".
Now she has decided that she does not want to spend her life with him...but out of principle, will not return the ring.
She has moved out of state and is being bombarded with emails from him but ignore them.
Is she wrong?
