What should he do/would you do?

My coworker cheated (all the way cheated) on his girlfriend and is devastated.

According to him, it should not have happened, wasn't planned (at least by him), and so he is besides himself with guilt and worry. The girl has since relocated and he has absolutely no feelings for her...never did...it just happened, so the chance of it reoccuring is nil. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif[/img]

He is wondering whether he should "risk it all" and tell his girlfried about it. He is not sure what her reaction will be but is willing to do it just to make "himself" feel better and come clean with her. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70456-eyebrows.gif[/img]

What do you think? Should he tell her? By telling her, is he being selfish? What would you do? If you cheated and the chance of him/her knowing are next to nil, would you tell?

he should kill himself before it just happens again. i don't believe that these things just happen. even if you're drunk out of your mind it doesn't just happen. it happens, but you made a drunken bad decision for it to happen. nothing just happens. if he's sure it's not gonna happen again he shouldn't tell his girlfriend caz she might want revenge it just happening to her. to hell with honesty being the best policy. it isn't always.

the drunken excuse doesn't work for me because you should have been that drunk in that situation anyhow. Why would you let urself get to that point. and if you would do it while you were drunk probably means that if the situation presently it self right enought while you were sober you would consider and do it too


He is a cheater and he should tell his girlfriend that he is a cheater and let her make the decision on what she is going to do. Cause it's not fair to her to be with a cheater and not know. I sure he would want to know if it was the other way around.

I question the act of cheating and who really gets cheated, especially after seeing the way he is suffering.

On the subject of cheating, who wrote the rules. Why does someone who hadn't made a verbal/written commitment never to "do it" with another, feel "cheated"?

Are all men and women to assume, upon entering a relationship, that the rule is to be committed to each other only?
