many have struggle
I have enough sense to know when to walk away
when you give your all to someone who needs it
yet it still doesn't do them any good
then,you let it go and continue to pray for them

my husband was not a drug addict
he was a very hard working man who together with me,raised a beautiful family,my children have MUCH more love and
understanding than the whole of you all

Well, if you are lurking concerned....here is my thoughts on the subject. You are obviously a grown woman...I am seriously hoping this "man" in Kingston is just that...a man your age and not some young hottie that has you feeling "young" again.

I say this NOT in attack of you or your judgement but only because I have seen it happen EVERYDAY here on this board and all around the island.

You asked our advice...you got some...you didnt like it so your mad at us. What were you hoping to hear...LOTS of support? If you need lots of support in your decision then that tells me you have doubts in your mind that it is the right thing to do. Sadly...I think we just pushed you to do it too with some of the responses you got.

OH well...my advice would be...save your money for your kids or your grandkids...someday they may need it...for a similar problem or a totally different one...to squander it on a drug addict who lives in the ghettos of a third world country that is not even your home...what will that do. I mean you yourself have stated that life in the kingston ghettos is TOUGH....its almost a given that your "friend", even if he gets help, will most likely fall back into his habit many times. Will you be there EVERY time to bail him out...

AND...if by chance he sobers up and stays clean...what are you hoping your future with him will be....you gonna move there to live with him...you gonna file a visa for him to come live with you? DO YOU SEE A FUTURE WITH THIS "MAN"?

The title of the thread is 'what would you do'? You asked for 'suggestions', yet you're pitsed off cause most suggestions are not inline with what you want to do.

There have been sound, well thought out advise in this thread Dr. Dudd and JahB4me comes to mind. Yet you dismiss them cause they're not what you want to hear.

You're a grown arse woman. I'd say you're over fiddy. And you're in search of validation for why you should support a crackhead.

I think concerned has been sending 50$ a week with the 11.99 western union fee that would make it 61$ a week, yah.
