That could never happen to me because I would turn the friend away at the door righ thten and there but that's just me. You can't call last minute changing the plans. Heck no.

I have a double sink (one large and one small) and along the side is the drainer. My cups, plates etc. were on the drainer.

Her argument was, when I asked her WHY THA HELL, because she was using the small sink and it was only one blouse. As if that makes a difference. I have never seen anyone wash clothes in a kitchen sink before, I must just be naive, but she nor my friend saw it as a big deal.

Well, I DID and didn't feel I had to explain to her why it was not acceptable in my house. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif[/img] I had to actually fight with her to stop and continue in the bathroom. Can you believe that audocity? [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif[/img]

I was so angry. It reminded me of the movie with Steven Martin and the dozens of kids. It was unreal and a good thing my son was away for the weekend.

What made it worse, was that my plans were to spend a relaxing weekend alone, and then this... </div></div>

Your story sounds like a sequel to the movies, Home Alone series.

LOL, you don't know what that did to me. I said WHAT? Ohh noo, you WILL clean it up NOW or please don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord done split ya as I pointed towards the front door.

(as I tried not to breathe in the nasty chinese food smell mixed in with the nail polish and remover). My husband used to do it. After we got married I found this out when I came upon him washing his socks in the kitchen sink!!!!!

I can totally relate to how you feel. The difference was, I had to convey my disgust and the fact that I did not ever want him to do that again, without blowing up and calling im all kina nastiniss...

He thought I was making a big deal out of nothing. He grew up with folk washing stuff in the kitchen sink - when mi ask im whappn to de bawtroom sink - im say de kitchen sink higha or some fawt like dat...

I had to cut that ish off at the knees!!!! It was one of the few things we fought about in the early months of our marriage. He thought I was being incredibly anal. I thought he was just nasty. I cannot begin to tell yuh how often mi bleach dung de sink an de counta an everyting, caw mi did stawt tink say maybe im a wash it een deh when mi no deh home...

You know, they say, different strokes, but I totally feel you on that. There are some things that I am just not willing to compromise and cleanliness is one of them.

My hands feel really rough and hard today because of all the bleaching I had to do yesterday. I cannot go into my kitchen now without thinking not to use the small sink. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad2.gif[/img]

I don't nearly business what people do in their own houses but, damn, have some respect for other people's house - especially when you see that it is kept a certain way.

My sister inlaw who always say I'm the nice quite one got a rude awakening when I caught her washing her bra in my kitchen sink. Did I let her have it.

The thing you should remember is that she was not trying to disrespect you. Just like how David was not intentionally trying to drive me up the wall...

It's what they're used to... If you were to have them over again, they wouldn't make the same mistakes, cause they now know that it's not acceptable to you.

I think cutting them off is kinda drastic.
