Disappearing act or a promising future...?
Hello, Can I have your opinions?
A friend of mine has been dating a guy for two years. During the first year of courtship, the guy disappeared for a whole year. He just cut off all communication without any explanation. My friend tried to reach out to him to find out what was going on, but received no feedback. They worked in close proximity to each other. So she sought God for direction on this. (She is a self proclaimed christian). Based on her 'confirmation from god' and another family member (aunt), she was advised not to give up on the relationship and to 'wait until her change come', because god ordained that guy to her. Surprisingly, the guy came around and then rekindled the relationship, and they went as far as both sides introducing each other to their family. There was talk about marriage but there was no set wedding date. In the midst of things going well, he did another disappearing act. It is almost four months now. And she still feels that god is ordering her steps to wait on him. Now hear the flip side of this: While she is waiting on him, a promising young man desires to court her, but she feels that this is a 'plot from the enemy' like hte David and Bathsheba story in the Bible. In my opinion I think she should forget about the first guy and pursue the possibility of this new relationship. What is your opinion?
